About Me

My name is Lynda McCall and I believe that dogs and horses (and other animals as well) are a mirror into our souls. If we will just look and see, they can help us understand who we are and who we can be.

I studied horses and behavior in college and graduate school. I spend most of my life teaching people about the behavior of horses and helping my husband (also a college professor and horse trainer) train horses and people. Over the years, we traveled around the country giving clinics, writing books and teaching.

Today at 60 my life is still centered around world of dog and horses. We live in Arkansas on our 275 acres ranch where we breed corriente cattle, cutting horse and dogs. Our teaching is focused on our horse information site, McCalls Horse World and our dog sites about English Shepherds and Pocket Beagles.

A while ago, I started writing two separate dog blogs – one about beagles and one about english shepherds. Then I realized that all my dogs contributed to my dog knowledge and it became increasing difficult to separate the information.

The result of this dog information: One blog “My Life with Dogs”. Today my dog family is composed of my English Shepherds:, Ringo. Gabby, , Daisy Mae, Cowboy, and their puppies; My pugs: Wu, and Opie; My Corgi Buns and her pup, Bee and my beagles Bella, Winona, Gal, Lucky, Will, Tiny, Lisabeth, Birdie, Max,Harry and their puppies.

We have been breeding English Shepherds since 1970 and small Beagles since 1980. This blog is dedicated to the amazing animals that have blessed my life and taught me much of what I know .
